Community Alternatives is a community based wavier program that assists in advocating for and supporting those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We strive to assist people as they work towards becoming active in the community, developing friendships and relationships, finding employment and promote overall growth and reaching life goals. Community Alternatives is part of the ResCare family of services, the largest provider of services to people with intellectual & developmental disabilities in the United States. Mission Statement

We shall aspire to empower those with disabilities to advocate for one’s self and have choice in everyday life others may take for granted.We shall strive to attain the highest level of stewardship to those we serve and provide an environment and opportunity for the uppermost level of independence.We shall strive to assist all with the ability to grow and exceed beyond stereotypes and predetermined notions.Our goal is to promote individuality, growth and pursuit of dreams that are shared by all.With the support of those that care, anyone can overcome whichever boundaries set forth and we hold true to the fact that in life there should be no boundaries beyond those that we control ourselves.A staffed residence can be a home, an ADT can be an adventure and an experience in self actualization and growth and looking beyond the bare minimums is the key to growth.In a system of confines we strive to provide for individualized needs that go beyond a waiver program and border on the realm of a family.”
